What time are we able to check in and check out?
Normal check in is 4pm and checkout 11am.
Can we pay to use the Swim and Fitness center pool?
Short answer is no, Suncadia does not allow parties to pay at door unless accompanied by a Suncadia Club member. However, this vacation rental has seasonal access to the outdoor pool and hot tub located at the Lodge.
What are the additional fees for?
There are three fees – our cleaning cost is added on to the nightly charge. A fee to cover the cost of credit card charges and the operation of their web interface. And Washington State sales tax. A deposit is also held that is fully refundable; you will get your deposit back within a week of departure assuming the place is well cared for.
Do you provide corporate discounts (for Microsoft, Amazon, etc.) employees?
Currently we do not provide corporate discounts. The best rates can be found midweek, and on non-peak weekends. Or try making your stay longer and spreading some of the fixed costs like cleaning and your cost of travel to make per night charge lower.
We do not have an AWD vehicle. So, was wondering how accessible the roads are in this area?
The roads from l-90 are relatively flat and well maintained. You should be ok with two-wheel drives. But do check pass conditions for any restrictions if traveling in winter.
We are a group of 8 adults and 5 young kids. One of the kids is less than 2 years old. We did look at the room layouts and are confident that we can manage with the existing beds. Would it be ok for us to book this cabin?
Feel free to book to block out your dates. We have a pack-and-play infant bed in the home if needed for one of the younger kids.
There was an issue booking our further out dates.
In general, we only take reservations 6 months out.
I have been searching for a home for a retreat. The first time I checked, the house rented for $900 per night. My group agreed the house would be wonderful, however now, I am ready to book, and the price has gone up. I am wondering if price is based on demand (views), or did pricing change?
Pricing is subject to change with no notice. In general, it is set at the beginning of the year and varies based on the season and high or low demand time frames. Pricing may change temporarily inter-year based on demand and the number of bookings we are receiving. If you saw a certain price that is no longer there and have some basis for it, let us know and we may be able to honor it.
We are looking for a place to stay with two families to enjoy the snow. Is this still available?
Yes, if the calendar shows availability then there is a very high probability it is still available. Feel free to book the dates, if we see any issues we will get back to you – and your payment will not be processed.
I jumped the gun. Can you please cancel the reservation?
Your reservation can be cancelled, and payment refunded or partially refunded within the stated terms.
Is ok to drive by your home to scope it out?
Sure, no problem. You might want to ask for a Suncadia map at the guest greeter cottage near the front entrance, maps should also be available at the Lodge and other places around Suncadia. Please do not disturb any current guests at the property.
Checking to see if your home has resort access?
Yes, the home is in Suncadia Resort; almost all resort amenities are available to you however you will not have access to the Swim and Fitness Center or Nelson Farm pool. During the warmer months, you can access the outdoor pool and hot tub near the Lodge with this vacation home.
Are you far from the resort?
The home is in Suncadia resort. The distance to the Swiftwater Winery and the Suncadia Lodge it is about average for a custom home in Suncadia, some are closer some are further from those two locations. The home has immediate trail system access and is about a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride to lodge and winery.
Is WIFI Available?
Yes, it is a good connection with fiber optic to house. Access code is located on the wood wall near the refrigerator, above the light switch.
Is cable TV available?
Cable TV is not provided at this time, we may look to add this later. Currently we have Netflix and DVD Blue ray players on each TV. Maybe try Swiftwater Winery or other locations at Suncadia to see the game on a big screen.
Would love to book, however we also have a small dog, would this be doable on your property?
We would love to have you stay but unfortunately, we cannot make an exception to our standard policy of no pets. There are however several homes in Suncadia that do allow pets, there is also an enclosed dog run at Dawson Park.
We have a large group of old friends who gather once a year. We need two homes just like yours. Do you know a neighbor who has such so we can pair up two homes near-by?
Yes, we may be able to accommodate the pairing of two similar and nearby homes. Please inquire.
How far are you from Ronald, WA?
Ronald is less than 15 minutes by car, an easy drive north up Bullfrog Road. Roslyn and Cle Elum are less than 10 minutes by car and can also be biked to.
How close is this place to an area for sledding?
We sled just across the street a short 5-minute walk. Good for young kids and even adults. It is great, not too huge, but not small either. Suncadia also has a tubing hill and ice-skating rink for a daily charge; kids need to meet a certain height requirement at the tubing hill.
Is there a sled we can use?
Yes, there are two sleds in garage.
We stayed at the lodge last weekend and wanted to drive by the house. We noticed there’s a gate that requires a remote to access the road leading to the property. Where would we obtain this remote?
I’m guessing you are talking about the gate next to the condominium near the lodge. That’s the back road leading to Snowberry loop. If you go on the main road, the Suncadia Trail, then there is no gate. Also when you enter the resort from the main entrance the guest cottage can provide a map and directions. The standard route has no gate and no remote, and is fully accessible.
Should we plan to bring our own wood for fire pit?
The fire pit uses natural gas. Wood burning is prohibited by the Suncadia resort. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello! We are interested in renting your lovely property in late June. I want to verify that rental includes use of the community pool at Suncadia. Is that correct? I’ve seen other property messages about not having access to Suncadia swim facilities, so I am confused. Thank you!
This home includes access to the outdoor community pool and hot tub located at the Suncadia lodge. The pool is equipped with outdoor lounges and has a small changing room with a shower. Towels are normally stocked by the changing room. There are two other pools, the Swim and Fitness Center, and Nelson Farm pool, these you will not be able to access with this home. We can provide some more info on the Suncadia Lodge pool, and there are a few photos of the lodge pool in our listing.
We are a group of 3 generations: The house looks perfect for us. We like hiking, biking, water sports, golf, tennis and May even try fly fishing. Any suggestions?
Given your interests, I think your family will have a great time at Suncadia and the surrounding area. There is a nice hiking trail in Suncadia along the Cle Elum river, with places to stop for the kids to play at the river edge or eat a picnic lunch. The tennis courts are at Dawson Park. We love to ride bikes with the kids to the park, the park's activity shed is staffed daily and provides complimentary tennis rackets and balls. It also provides complimentary sports equipment and balls, kites, pickle ball rackets, horse shoes and more. Batista park is also in the resort and a fun area for the kids play equipment.
Suncadia also has a central amphitheater with outdoor concerts, there is a small "lake" at the amphitheater where kayaks and paddle boards can be rented. Fly fishing can be arranged at the lodge concierge and the resort provides some fly-fishing lessons. The lodge also has a nice outdoor pool that your family can use at no charge, towels are provided in the changing room near the pool. And of course, the resort has several destination golf courses.
One on the bathroom doors accidentally got locked form the outside and we can’t seem to get it unlocked. Is there a key somewhere for the hole next to the doorknob to open the door from the outside?
You can use the red rod in the house book, or also some red rods in the house box above microwave. Let us know if that does not do the trick!
How many pairs of snow shoes and winter equipment do you have?
We provide 6 pairs of snow shoes and 3 sleds. Additional equipment can be rented through the Suncadia pro shop.
What is the “additional person fee”?
We charge $20 extra per night per person for more than 10 people.
We are headed over Friday morning for a late afternoon wedding south of Seattle. We werehoping to stop by the house around noontime to drop off luggage. Would that be okay?
It should be fine if you want to drop off luggage at noon, but please let us know if you plan to do this. We can not be responsible for your luggage during this time between 11am and 4pm, when the cleaners are working.
When should I expect to see the refund of my damage deposit?
The deposit is automatically refunded one week after checkout assuming the home was well cared for.
For our preparation for the vacation, I want to have some information on golf:
1. Golf courses open to the public in Suncadia resort and nearby?
2. Any privilege to tenants in Suncadia resort?
2. How to make tee-time reservation in advance?
3. Rates of green-fee, cart and golf club rental?
Rope Rider and Prospector golf courses in Suncadia are open to the public. You can book tee times by calling the Suncadia Pro Shop at (509) 649-6450. The shop manager is named Todd and anyone there can book tee times. The green fee includes cart and is: Saturday $89-$129, Sunday $69-$99, Weekdays $54-$79. Sales tax is added to these rates. Club rental for high quality clubs is $60 per 18 holes. Advance booking for all your golf days can be made 10 days prior to your first day of golf. I talked to Todd and he felt confident you will get a tee time if calling in about 10 days in advance. Home owners can book 16 days in advance and get a small discount but technically guests would need to be accompanied by owner.
My mother uses a walker and wondering if the main floor is handicap accessible?
The home sits about 5 inches above driveway level and can be accessible from front porch, garage, or pack porch. The lot and surrounding area is entirely flat. The living area, kitchen, dining and back porch are all open as one space, the master bedroom is spacious and on main floor with 32” door, attached bathroom has large walk in shower, but shower door is about 24” wide. In short it should be accessible for most needs but was not designed to meet all accessibility codes, for example the bathroom does not have hand bars in shower.
Thanks for responding so quickly! My question was about the number of twin beds in the bunk room. We're all adults and we'll need 4 standard size twins but I'm only seeing two in the photos. Also, I'm not sure what a "built in" twin bed is. Thank you!
All 4 twin beds in the bunk room are standard size, so adults can sleep on them with no problem. If you look carefully at the two bunk room pictures, you will see the two built-in beds are partially surrounded by the wall. They are parallel to the other two stand-alone twin beds.
We have been in Suncadia for the last month, on a business project, and we need to extend our stay 1 week, wondering what the rates would be.
Please let us know if you have special pricing needs that are not addressed in the published rates.
Can you provide a better description of the number of beds in the bunk room upstairs? We only see 2 twins and an alcove with a pillow. Can you send us any pictures that you have that show sleeping for five - or confirm the beds for 5 in that space? Because that room is critical for us.
The bunk room is large enough for five or more adults or kids to sleep comfortable. The room has two standard twin beds on log frames, and two standard twin beds built into the wall. The room has three quality cots (Zinus Traveler Elite) that can be placed in several areas of the bunk room. The bunk room bathroom has two sinks and sits just outside the bunk room. I can comfortably say you can sleep 5 or 6 people in the bunk room.
Are there marshmallow sticks for smores?
Yes, they should be in the drawers to the right of dish washer where all the utensils are. They are short (retractable) but can be extended long.
Can you clarify the bed situation in the "bunk room?" The description lists 4 twin beds, but I only see two in the photos and also a reference to "built in" twin beds...not sure what that means. I just want to be sure there are four standard size twins in that room that adults could sleep in. Thank you!
All four beds in the bunk room are standard twin size. The built-in beds have less open ceiling room (aprox. 5’ at head and 2’ at foot) because they are located under a sloping ceiling, that said they would work fine for an adult and they provide a little more privacy than the two beds pictured. In addition, there are three standard single sleeping cots and double size futon.
Hi, your house is wonderful! Getting settled. Is there just one key?
Yes, there is only one key. Guests usually put the key in the lockbox and share the code.
Can you send me the password to the wi-fi? I’m able to access a router?
The wifi code is located in the “house book” in the kitchen and on the Guest Info page.
Can you give me the final count of how many actual beds there are?
There is one king bed, two queen beds, and 4 standard twin beds, one double futon, and three single cots. The home also provides a new pack in play for infants.
Is there a sledding hill walking distance from the house? If there is a sledding hill, do you provide any sleds or tobaggans? Are the roads to the home plowed in the winter?
Yes there is a sledding hill about 5 minute walk away and we provide three sleds (and also six pairs of snow shoes). There is also a Suncadia tubing hill nearby, this has a charge but is fun too as an alternative. The roads are regularly plowed to in Suncadia to the house, and the driveway is regularly plowed by a separate service. The lot is flat and the home is just one step off the driveway so should be easy to access the home.
What is your down payment? What is your cancellation policy?
Normally the cost of lodging and fees is collected by charge card at time of booking, but we can break the charges out, in two or three charges overtime if needed. The as long as you cancelled within two weeks of booking there is no charge, money is fully refunded.
We are bringing a 30ft enclosed snowmobile trailer, is this ok to park in the driveway? If not is there guest parking in Suncadia for something like this?
It will fit in the driveway approach no problem but may block other vehicles from getting to the inner part of the driveway. In addition to parking in the driveway you can park the trailer in the Dawson park parking lot overnight, you will pass this parking lot on the way to the cabin. The guest cottage at the entrance of Suncadia can also help with options, a map, and directions.
I'm trying to find more info. about things to do in the area - namely fishing, hiking, and canoeing / kayaking. Do you know of anywhere nearby where we could rent the equipment for these activities?
The house is located within the Suncadia resort among the Cascade mountains. Within the resort, there are miles of hiking trails where you can hike or bike. There is also a small lake in the resort where you can rent kayaks by the hour. The resort also organizes fishing, hiking and canoeing trips to nearby wilderness areas using local guides. For more details, please check out Suncadia’s website.
If you prefer to do these activities on your own and outside the resort, I would suggest looking at the area around Salmon la Sac campground, about 30 minutes north of Suncadia. There is good fishing along the Cle Elum river. And many river-to-alpine hikes that start from Forest Service road 4330. The Cle Elum forest service ranger station is about 5 minutes from Suncadia in Cle Elum and could be a good starting point for maps and info. Kayaking can be done on the Cle Elum river, and Fish lake is north of Salmon la Sac and would be nice for fishing and canoeing if you are looking for a true wilderness experience bordering the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Other areas to look at would be the Teanaway Wilderness.
Last Resort, Rill Adventure Raft & Gear Rentals, or Cascade Playtime Rentals may be able help.
